Pysanky Egg Decorating

Pysanky is the Ukrainian art of Easter egg decorating. The process consists of using an ancient wax resistant technique, and a dying process.  Patterns are drawn on the egg with wax,  which protects whatever color it is placed over. Once the egg is covered with wax, it is melted off, revealing a vibrant and meaningful design. Pysanky was often made for different life events, using the symbols to convey a message to and important loved one, or a well wish.  We look forward to bringing a little Spring cheer into the studio with this special event!
